Another Sunday Sermon

Early in the reign of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, this word came from the Lord: “This is what the Lord says: Stand in the courtyard of the Lord’s house and speak to all the people of the towns of Judah who come to worship in the house of the Lord. Tell them everything I command you; do not omit a word. Perhaps they will listen and each will turn from their evil ways. Then I will relent and not inflict on them the disaster I was planning because of the evil they have done. Say to them, ‘This is what the Lord says: If you do not listen to me and follow my law, which I have set before you, and if you do not listen to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I have sent to you again and again (though you have not listened), then I will make this house like Shiloh and this city a curse[a] among all the nations of the earth.’”
The priests, the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speak these words in the house of the Lord. But as soon as Jeremiah finished telling all the people everything the Lord had commanded him to say, the priests, the prophets and all the people seized him and said, “You must die! Why do you prophesy in the Lord’s name that this house will be like Shiloh and this city will be desolate and deserted?” And all the people crowded around Jeremiah in the house of the Lord.
10 When the officials of Judah heard about these things, they went up from the royal palace to the house of the Lord and took their places at the entrance of the New Gate of the Lord’s house. 11 Then the priests and the prophets said to the officials and all the people, “This man should be sentenced to death because he has prophesied against this city. You have heard it with your own ears!”
12 Then Jeremiah said to all the officials and all the people: “The Lord sent me to prophesy against this house and this city all the things you have heard. 13 Now reform your ways and your actions and obey the Lord your God. Then the Lord will relent and not bring the disaster he has pronounced against you. 14 As for me, I am in your hands; do with me whatever you think is good and right. 15 Be assured, however, that if you put me to death, you will bring the guilt of innocent blood on yourselves and on this city and on those who live in it, for in truth the Lord has sent me to you to speak all these words in your hearing.”
16 Then the officials and all the people said to the priests and the prophets, “This man should not be sentenced to death! He has spoken to us in the name of the Lord our God.”
17 Some of the elders of the land stepped forward and said to the entire assembly of people, 18 “Micah of Moresheth prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah. He told all the people of Judah, ‘This is what the Lord Almighty says:
“‘Zion will be plowed like a field,
Jerusalem will become a heap of rubble,
the temple hill a mound overgrown with thickets.’[b]
19 “Did Hezekiah king of Judah or anyone else in Judah put him to death? Did not Hezekiah fear the Lord and seek his favor? And did not the Lord relent, so that he did not bring the disaster he pronounced against them? We are about to bring a terrible disaster on ourselves!”
20 (Now Uriah son of Shemaiah from Kiriath Jearim was another man who prophesied in the name of the Lord; he prophesied the same things against this city and this land as Jeremiah did. 21 When King Jehoiakim and all his officers and officials heard his words, the king was determined to put him to death. But Uriah heard of it and fled in fear to Egypt. 22 King Jehoiakim, however, sent Elnathan son of Akbor to Egypt, along with some other men. 23 They brought Uriah out of Egypt and took him to King Jehoiakim, who had him struck down with a sword and his body thrown into the burial place of the common people.)
24 Furthermore, Ahikam son of Shaphan supported Jeremiah, and so he was not handed over to the people to be put to death.

This is the passage I will be preaching this Sunday. So in Jehoiakim everyone was going on with there normal days and then someone went up to them and said "‘This is what the Lord says: If you do not listen to me and follow my law, which I have set before you, and if you do not listen to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I have sent to you again and again (though you have not listened), then I will make this house like Shiloh and this city a curse[a] among all the nations of the earth.’” And as he said this the lord was with him because the lord is always with people when they speak up. Even though we sin horribly even though we disobey him he is still with us. And when he is with us he gives us grace, forgiveness, a gift, something we don't deserve and yet he gives it to us anyway. He gives us a gift that we don't deserve. And when he gives us grace we need to put truth with it. Because grace without truth it's like your lost on the road with no directions. It's like I pull over and ask you for directions. "hey I'm lost and I need to find the farmers market can you help me?"
"Man your lost"
 "I know"
" your totally, absolutely lost "
I know can you help me?"
 "Man your lost."
I mean that's  really how it is. And truth without grace its like you lost and you don't know that your lost.
"Man your lost"
"no I'm not, just keep on driving off the cliff then we're safe, yeah!"
I mean that's how it is really truth without grace, grace without truth that is how it is. And you know what Jesus is the truth. Not part of the  truth not some THE WHOLE truth. And so while preaching the truth AND the  grace you need to be effective. So that means just running around saying" Read the bible." or "Jesus is important!" is probable not going to do anything. And also when people start to get mad at you for preaching the gospel don't run because then people just think you don't trust Jesus, so don't run and always tack any chance you have to teach the word of God. That is the end of my sermon today.
                                                 Thank you!

my Sunday Sermon

13 When a gentle south wind began to blow, they saw their opportunity; so they weighed anchor and sailed along the shore of Crete. 14 Before very long, a wind of hurricane force, called the Northeaster, swept down from the island. 15 The ship was caught by the storm and could not head into the wind; so we gave way to it and were driven along. 16 As we passed to the lee of a small island called Cauda, we were hardly able to make the lifeboat secure, 17 so the men hoisted it aboard. Then they passed ropes under the ship itself to hold it together. Because they were afraid they would run aground on the sandbars of Syrtis, they lowered the sea anchor[a] and let the ship be driven along. 18 We took such a violent battering from the storm that the next day they began to throw the cargo overboard. 19 On the third day, they threw the ship’s tackle overboard with their own hands. 20 When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and the storm continued raging, we finally gave up all hope of being saved.
21 After they had gone a long time without food, Paul stood up before them and said: “Men, you should have taken my advice not to sail from Crete; then you would have spared yourselves this damage and loss. 22 But now I urge you to keep up your courage, because not one of you will be lost; only the ship will be destroyed. 23 Last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood beside me 24 and said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you.’ 25 So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me. 26 Nevertheless, we must run aground on some island.”

This is the passage that I will be preaching on today. So earlier in this story Paul warned the captain of the ship to that a storm was coming but the captain did not listen to Paul because on the ship Paul was just a Prisoner. And yet a storm came and wrecked the ship! And yet Paul had hope! Because Paul believed that whatever the Lord had planned for him,  he knew whom he wanted to serve no question! He knew what he wanted to serve he knew whatever God's plan was he knew that was what he Wanted. And sometimes we say "Oh alright God if that's what you want I'll just do it for you!" But Paul says no! I want what God wants. And I know to whom I serve! And I will trust God till the end of my days. And in verse 21 he says "Eat for none of your lives will be lost only the ship will be destroyed."And with that he took the bread and eat it! Inspiring the other mates on the ship, they all ate.Last night Paul had had a dream in the dream there was a angel the angel told Paul do not be afraid for all lives on this ship will be saved and you will swim to shore and then you must stand in front of Caesar. So after the men finished eating, As the angel had said, they crashed but all lives were saved. And they swam to shore.
That's the end of my sermon, Thank you!
