Today I will not be teaching on a passage but on a true story that relates to Christianity. This is the story... We were turning on the light on the stairs and it didn't turn on. So, your first reaction is the light bulb is dead, right. So we change the light bulb and it still doesn't turn on! We take out the light bulb, it is a good light bulb, so why doesn't it work? Well, Turns out that that switch is connected to another one. Which means that if that other one is on the other one can't turn on the light! And guess what, the other one was on! So, we went through all that trouble to realize that the other switch was on!
So, I bet most of you are wondering how I make a sermon off this. Well, sometimes God is just like the light bulb, bright, useful, everywhere, and probably the most used electronic on earth. So, sometimes if we find that God didn't help us in a certain thing that we prayed for, well sometimes(not all people) we think he isn't there for us anymore and go through all the trouble of looking for a different religion( looking for a light bulb to replace it with) until we realize that God was there, he just didn't do what we had hoped he would do. So we went through all that trouble to realize that we actually wanted that light bulb! So, the lesson here is don't think that God is not there for you when he just didn't do what you wanted.
